A milestone for gymnastics in Bavaria
After ten years of planning and construction, the time has finally come: two weeks ago, we opened the new training hall east of Regensburg in cooperation with the town of Donaustauf and the Donaustauf sports club. The centre is located in an extension of the existing triple sports hall on the sports ground of SV Donaustauf, not far from the impressive Walhalla, and represents an important step for Bavarian gymnastics.
The centrepiece of the new training hall is a 14x14 metre mosaic floor which, in combination with two chipping pits, provides an optimal training experience. In addition, all relevant large SPIETH apparatuses have been installed, as well as a large trampoline and a trampoline track - an absolute highlight for gymnasts of all ages. The equipment sets new standards and offers the best conditions for performance-oriented training.
Filling a gap in the training landscape
A facility like this is unique in the region: comparable training facilities with fixed equipment are at least an hour's drive away in all directions. We are filling a gap in the Bavarian training landscape and providing athletes in the region with a state-of-the-art training facility right on their doorstep.
Celebrating success together
The success of this project was only possible thanks to the tireless efforts of many dedicated people. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of this flagship project with their hard work, commitment and energy. We are particularly proud that our customer is completely satisfied and that the first training sessions have already been successfully held.
Looking to the future
Together with Markt Donaustauf and SV Donaustauf, we have opened an important chapter in the history of gymnastics in Bavaria. In order to guarantee the quality of the installed equipment in the long term, our customer will also sign a maintenance contract with us.
We look forward to accompanying the future development of the training hall and are excited about the many sporting successes that will begin here.
