Aerobics is the youngest gymnastics discipline within the FIG program. The loads and requirements of an aerobic floor significantly vary from the floor constructions for rhythmic or artistic gymnastics.

The construction of the aerobic floor was especially improved for the Aerobic World Championships 2008 in Ulm, but first tested in action at the European Championships 2007 in Szombathely. The absolutely positive feedback from the athletes shown that SPIETH with its new model “Ulm” succeeded to develop an outstanding aerobic floor meeting the needs and requirements of the current gymnasts.

The important criteria for the aerobic floor are high elasticity and resilience for the jumps and cushioning and shock absorption for the landing.
